Anyone recognize this 924 hammer or the maker's mark?

Is this a vintage welder's hammer? If not, what is it? Do you know who made it?

It's 9 inches long and about 32 ounces. Perhaps the nine indicates the lenghth and the 24 indicates the head weight in ounces.

Trademark looks like a C with an H superimposed on it.
