Thanks for the Link; incredible source of machine tool information.`There is some resemblance to early Walker Turner D/P's, especially their Driver Line. You might look through here: http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex/detail.aspx?id=808&tab=4
Top B.
And insure that the pics convey the absolute minimum of information. That would be a cool project.
I can't understand how someone can put up a sales ad and the item is covered in junk.
Moving the **** piled on top of it is too much trouble? Getting a picture of the motor plate and/or badge of the tool?IMO, if you're selling an old throwaway piece of machinery that very few are interested in, it's either getting a bite from a buyer or not. So cleaning, polishing, waxing, or sprucing up are all a waste of time.
Amen! The first pic has the blurry badge which might have helped.Moving the **** piled on top of it is too much trouble? Getting a picture of the motor plate and/or badge of the tool?
I guess I'm only half as lazy as I thought.
Don’t know what the original listing was asking for $$, or how many items he was selling, but if his intention was to move along an old drill press (and/or other stuff) with minimal time investment and a minuscule money return, I don't think the Bar Keepers Friend can would make much of a difference.Moving the **** piled on top of it is too much trouble? I can't wait to see your used car ad: Car for sale.Don’t know what the original listing was asking for $$, or how many items he was selling, but if his intention was to move along an old drill press (and/or other stuff) with minimal time investment and a minuscule money return, I don't think the Bar Keepers Friend can would make much of a difference.
That drill press listing is probably the last stop before the town dump.
If you like the looks, offer 25. If they can't be bothered to clean it up they'll probably take it.$50. Probably barely worth that, although I like the looks of it.
Or offer to haul it off.If you like the looks, offer 25. If they can't be bothered to clean it up they'll probably take it.
That looks like a great project if you have the time.
Definitely not worth a 4 hour each way trip even if it was free IMO. And I'm a sucker for unusual drill presses.Too far away; 4 hours each way. Funny, I see ads all the time that say something like 'Transmission for sale'. No make, no mention of if it's manual or automatic. Nothing about the condition. Then they complain about all of the stupid calls they get.
