Hey guys, i need a new garage door seal. There is a tag on my door that says wayne dalton.

Can't find and exact match though.

Before i buy a generic with matching edges and try it, i'd like to see if anyone knows where to get it.

Looks like the older style Wayne Dalton 9100/9600 rubber - While possible to replace its usually way easier to replace the retainer too (its a battle, not impossible if the doors out, almost impossible installed). Local dealer here sells it on retainer not otherwise for this reason. About 12 screws/rivets (depending on age) and your done...

That looks like the old Foamcore bottom w/s! Good luck finding it, they haven't made that door in years, changed many of those over the years.

It Can be changed with the door installed, easiest with 2 people. Just open the door about 3/4 of the way, pop out the bottom roller, pull out the old w/s.
On either end you'll find the bottom extrusion is dimple crimped, take a drill and open the crimp. Spray some WD-40 in each groove, start to feed in new w/s, one guy feeds the w/s, while the other slowly pulls. Once that's done make sure to crimp at both ends or the w/s will shrink! Put the roller back in and pop back into track..All done. Good luck..

Thanks for the responses.
Pattenp, that's the one i thought it was, looks like they altered the design to make it easier.
Kinda pricey isn't it?

Is there a generic cheaper? I don't mind paying but if i'm reading other sites and links right, for a similar price i could get a new track and seal.
