That's interesting...looks like an old Wilton "bullet" machinist vise.

How wide are the jaws, what is the weight of the assembled vise?

The story is that my great grandpa bought it and my grandma remembers it being there when she was a kid in the 1950’s... I can’t understand why there are no names on it

There have been bullet knock offs on here before that people said were made in college engineering courses.

Not sure if any were that old though...

Definitely looks like an old Wilton. Back when they were affordable.

IIRC, some of the Tradesman versions only had a decal, no cast in numbers.

That old, it wouldn't be one of the Chicom knockoffs.

Clean it up, put it back together and give us some decent photos; that will help.

I've never seen a machinist vise without Wilton cast in the side..

I think the brief period of Tradesman's with blank sides was a couple years in the late 90's.
