Need to have a 30'x40' garage built. I was going to do this myself but with my kid being born last week  and work, I have no time. If I did this myself it would be much cheaper but would take me years to finish. :(

Anyway, anyone have any builders they would recommend in the MA (NorthShore) area?

Big thanks!

The person building my garage (20x37) in Ipswich is Jack Desmond. PM me for his phone #. I am very pleased with the work he is doing.

Cheers!

Awesome Elky and Jim!

You guys rock! I just wrote down Jacks number so you may want to delete it off the net.

I have a cape with a tiny 1 car garage. That will need to be torn down. That should be no problem, it is tiny. I need to cut down a monster tree which I plan on doing very soon.

I want a 30'x40' garage built. I guess you could call it attached but really it won't be. No walls, foundation or anything will be shared with the house. Basicly a 30'x40' detached garage that is 1/2" away from the house. I hope this will make it easier for the builder. After I do the siding it will look attached.

I need to get a variance for 30' wide so it may end up being 24'-30' wide depending on what they will give me. :(

I want 3.5" floor at the front half, and a 5.5" floor at the rear half, with two 8" thick sections where the lift will bolt down(rear half). 3000 PSI concrete.

I want either 12' walls or standard walls with vaulted trusses in the rear half to give room for the lift(12').

1 garage door in the front and 1 man door in the rear.

I want Storage type roof trusses.

The main thing is I don't want poles in the center of the garage to support the trusses.

I can do the outside siding, finish the roof, wiring, lighting, insulation, and inside finishing work.

Any estimates on this project?

You guys rock!

Anyone else on the north shore?
