Supposed to be a Pewe brand from Sweden. Sounds like its a quick release but other than that I can't get in touch with the owner for a while yet.

Any info guys ?????? Its cool looking but they are asking $70 and I don't even know how big it is yet.

Just using the person in the background, I would guess around a 4" - probably 40-50lbs. That's pretty cool man, I'd pick it up!

Maybe 3 1/2" as I'm looking at it more... But still - pretty unique!

Well it's a GJ vise now. I just bought it over the phone for $60 to be picked up tomorrow.

It was at a pawn shop and they didn't really want to hold it as they just got it in, so instead of it possibly being gone tomorrow I decided I would take a chance. It has 4" jaws, model 46110, and is a quick release in that you back it off a couple turns and then slide the dynamic jaw in or out to your work piece then tighten it. This is a pic of the other side.

Should be worth it just for the cool factor.

Unique vise even at $60 (down from initial $70).

Likely still the quickest $40 that pawn shop made (ie 200% profit as they probably paid the guy $20) !! Would love to be "little bird" watching as these gems come into pawn shop and see what haggling they do to skim the prior owner.

Congrats and have fun restoring.

They probably convinced him it was broken and only gave him $10 :bounce:
