Listed on local CL. Waiting for a callback. I've never seen one like it. It must be rare, but is it valuable? I'd be looking to refurb and resell as I have a full stable of vises already.

Minus the anvil part, I've seen the vise part before. Somewhat similar to a post vise, but without the post. It's pretty weird. The one I seen was pretty big and going fairly cheap. Not sure if they just go cheaply whenever they're out there, or if the guy was selling it fairly cheap. I know nothing about them, but someone should chime in soon that can fill you (and me) in. I'd pick it up just because it's unique! Thanks for sharing!

[EDIT] Didn't see your resell comment. I believe the one similar to this I seen was going for like $80, and it was on CL for ever (several months). For resell, I'd probably only pick it up for under $40-50. Fix it up and I would ask ~$150 just to see if I get a bite. That's just me though.

We have a nearly identical one. Good enough vise. Ours came from a traveling salesman twenty years ago and came with an elaborate hand cranked drilling setup as a package. The drilling apparatus clamped into the jaws of the vise. I'll check, but I think ours is made by M&P as well. I'd think a vise like that would probably be in price competition with the imported Wilton's or other generic vises.

nice solid old Cole vise, but they don't bring in high dollars. this one has been for sale for almost a year at $125. if you need it for a particular job or for your collection it does have a beefy anvil type part to it.

Diesel is right that they also made an option that had a drill press attachment that looks pretty cool and might work, but again not a high dollar item.
