I found an empty case in rough shape, for $2. It's more dirty than anything. I drilled a couple tiny holes to remove the water in the one lid. That store had over 2 dozen of these cases last week, but one guy came in and bought the lot for $40. Before I spend more time, just wondering if anyone sells empty socket kit cases that I can fill with my sockets,

Thanks. I didn't expect it for $2. I have an older Craftsman set, only missing a few sockets, so I'll replace them. I don't care for the case. Plus, one of the tabs is broken and the case doesn't fit in any of my box drawers, so I thought I'd sort it out. I'll have to count what's in there, but down sizing it and leaving the rest on a socket rack in the box isn't a bad idea either.

Thanks, I'll check out the links and zero in on what I'm looking for. Didn't really expect there to be a selection.

Didn't think people bought those. Just recently threw out a few dozen of them at work. :-(

Yeah, i would think there's a market. Cases are convenient, but don't always feel like buying a new complete set. However, I see Craftsman has some sets at 50% off, which makes it tempting to buy one. Then there's the old vs new quality, etc.

Maybe that's why my boss keeps EVERYTHING. Anyone need any single used sneakers, boots, or gloves?
