Anyone sporting a Chinese Cold (wet) Saw?

I am considering finally ditching the abrasive saw and taking the plunge and purchasing a Cold Saw (wet) for metal cutting. I am considering purchasing a cold saw manufactured in the far east (western world saws are well outside my budget). I want to hear from anyone that owns one of these Chinese cold saws on the accuracy, clamping setup and anything else you can think of.

Any links to said wet saw? I've never seen an off shore one. I been wanting one but can't justify the cost of a Dake new, and never saw a used one for sale. Keith

I have the same saw. Cuts well, but had to be tuned in before it would cut straight. The cutting fence didn't line up with the holes properly so I had to adjust them.

I just used mine to cut some 5 in x 5 in x 3.8in angle iron for a dolly and it was like butter.

After you get a cold saw you will never want to touch a abrasive saw again.

Here is the cheapest price I have ever seen for this saw.

I bought a Baileigh table top model to use on site for one job. The coolant pump was weak, the recovery tray was too small and spilled coolant all the time.

Before a year was up, the blade had play in it due to an issue with the gears. Baileigh sent me replacement parts and walked me through replacing them. Unfortunately, the same gear issue came up two more times. I became an expert in replacing them. Then the seal started leaking.

I also replaced the coolant pump with an electric one and a larger tank.

It has worked great since then and Baileigh gave me four blades for my trouble.

The clamping system works fine and is accurate.

Would I buy one again? No. If it had given me any problems on the first job, I would have returned it.

Hey Slowmo5o, thx for the tip on Menards. I ordered one yesterday, beats the locals by $70 even with shipping from WI.

I bought that saw and had the same problem with the fence. I had to extend the slot on the back clamp casting to get a 90* cut.
Lowes had these saws on clearance for $107 a few weeks ago. So, I bought one and 2 extra blades for under $30 each.

Thanks Mjb. This is helpful. Good to hear the clamping system was accurate. Shame about the other parts.

No problem, I bought mine a few years ago and paid around $360 for it and that was a deal at the time. Figure I can help so others get a deal on it. They have had it on sale for a while now. I think it ends at the end of the month.
