They'll be fine, it'll be the same 72 tooth movement used in loads of ratchets now, very smooth and strong.

I have the 3/8 and 1/4 versions and there ok at best. The on and off switch is backwards so when your in a tight spot they have a tendency to move in the wrong direction. The head on um is fairly large aswell again for something not great for tight spots. But they are as said above fairly smooth action ratchets. All that being said they can come in handy at times but I reach for my tool truck brand more often then none. If you rarely use a stubby they’re better then nothin I guess

Biggest issue with those is heads are very large, they just the average full size chunky taiwan style ratchet with shorter handle .
I would look at the gearless taiwan stubby ratchets as that the ones I use most in stubby form as small head and almost zero drag .

I have those 1/4 and 3/8 in a different brand. Ubiquitous 72 tooth Taiwanese ratchets that all come dry so a bit of light grease does wonders, so smooth afterwards.

These fit well in your hand and are great when you don't need the normal amount of leverage.

Here are the Powerbuilt versions, in 1/4 and 3/8, which have knurling on the handles. I love mine. Great when I need just a bit more leverage than a socket driver handle.

Yes:
  • Very smooth and strong
  • Fit well in your hand
  • On and off switch is backwards
  • Ubiquitous 72 tooth Taiwanese ratchets that all come dry
