I have one and it's pretty awesome. But yes, you must oil it religiously or it's going to die. Will break crank pulley bolts off like nobody's business though.

what are your other options on 1/2 impacts?
Ir titanium is all good ( oil it well also )
mg725 is awesome and the motor is sealed so no extra greasing. still have to oil it though.

If you can swing a mg725 go for it!! I got my nitrocat for a STEAL. It was an offer I couldn't refuse!!

mrshaun,
can you get me a good deal on an mg31 or mg325? I live just north of Dallas and don't see the SO guy too much around here. PM me and let me know

we cannot sell outside of our territories. you would have to find one of the local boys up there to help you out. sorry. thanks for asking.
mikeweb have you used an MG325 yet?
ir2115ti works if you have plenty of air. If you are lacking in the air dept ( cheap compressor at work ) then IR tools are not the best of choices.

Nope, haven't used a MG325, to tell you the truth the MG31 turned me off from SO impacts. I also despise the F/R and power adjustment knob. Its a huge pain to adjust with dirty hands.

I didnt find one impact using more air then the other, I think they both consume about the same amount.

I also have the 1200k and 90ft.lb. ratchet, they are both very strong. The kevlar reduces weight a lot. Get an inline oiler if you are forgetfull in oiling.

Thanks, JASTECH

Actually the MG725 and MG325 use slightly more air under load than the 2115TIMAX and 2135TIMAX at free speed they are about equal.

I have a 1200k and i oil it generously.. so far no problems... toooo strong. ive put it up against the xt7100 and the 2135. i really love the smooth, quiet power it has. Get one and you won't regret it, just be sure to oil it at the beginning of each day, at the end of each day, and in the middle if you're using it alotttt in between. And get a cheap little in-line regulator to make sure the pressure keeps down below 120psi. Thats one other thing I forgot to mention. the nitrocat has outperformed the xt7100 and 2135 at 120psi or below using my regulator knob.. shop pressure is at 160

Update- This impact was for home shop use only. I have a mg725, 325 and an IR2135Max at work.

So far it has been great, definetly not as much **** as the mg and IR. It also has a lot of vibration at free speed. But for home use and $165, you cant beat it. I would never recommend this for professional use though.

Also, if you see this Mr. Shaun, I have an older FAR72C air ratchet that is getting weak. How much would an "average" rebuild cost. Just a rough estimate if you could please.
