You're going to find that even if that works it is going to be too bulky in a lot of places. I use these Grip-Tite sockets with great success. Plus they will hold a nut or bolt firmly if you are just trying to get it started.

Jacobson,

I agree with MikeF2316 on the Go2 socket being bulky. In addition, why did the manufacturer not use a hex shaped head at the end of the bolt? The flat head fastener will strip in no time.

Yeah using a flathead tells you how well thought out this tool was.

I have that Craftsman style set in Irwin. They worked for me the couple of times I've needed. Somewhere I don't remember where they have that style in 1/4 one piece driver set.

If you have enough meat left for that to grab you also have enough for a stud remover/installer. And they are like a pipe wrench in that the harder you pull the tigter they grab

Personally, I think it's a good idea. I just ordered one for around the house/shop jobs. I can see where it would have limited use it tight places but otherwise I think it's going to be very useful.

For rounded bolts I use Vise Grips. If the head is broken I use my Irwin/Hansen Extractors.

The Mac precision torque sockets I have had the best luck with rounded or rusted to heck bolt heads that aren't true size anymore. I am not a huge Mac fan but these really work. I did see they have a spline version too but think the 6 point will do better
