That's basically it. I bought a quart and plan to scrape, chip, and wire brush all rust everywhere I have access to underneath my truck, then powerwash and treat with Ospho when dry.

Trying to get as much life as I can out of the trusty and rusty '96 Nissan P'up.

I use it quite a bit, just read and follow the directions on the container. Pay close attention to the cautions and safety warnings.

Good stuff. I wire wheeled under my 73 Capri and then used my spray gun OSPHO. After a few days I painted on foundation coating. That was one tough (cheap) undercoating ....

What's the best way to handle a frame that's a combination of rust and some sort of factory coating? (I don't think it's undercoating----not sure how to tell. I bought it used) Should I still coat the whole frame, or only the areas with rust? Will it only 'cure' in the presence of rust?

Thanks.

If I were you I'd look into Fluid Film for vehicle rust protection. I use it on my vehicles and it has really slowed down the rust problems. It is a waxy fluid you spray the underside and inside panels (like rust proofing) of your car. You have to retreat it annually, but it seems to work good.
