I'm trying to loosen a tie rod end lock nut that is so tight that an adjustable wrench slipped and almost rounded off 2 corners. Even heated the nut with a propane torch. Thinking one of these may work better but can't find them anywhere except Ebay where I bought the last set. Seems like they are discontinued, but wonder why. Looks like a great idea when a box end wrench won't work.

For tie rod lock nut, use a pipe wrench if you have too. A BIG one if needed. Just buy a replacement nut if you ****** it up too bad.

Air hammers and heat work 100 percent for me probably need a hotter torch than a propane torch

I can't speak for that exact tool but I have a set of flare nuts ones that utilize that design that work like a champ. The steel and design looks to be identical to what I have and if it is I wouldn't hesitate to try out set
