I am looking at the new Emerson Sensi Touch thermostat. Anyone have experience with the Touch model or the Original Wi-Fi Sensi?

I have WiFi.
Was a bit of a pain to setup, as you have to use a phone to connect to the t-stat, and then to your home wifi. but I think this was more of an issue with my phone.
Since then been using it 2 years. Set the schedule and it works.
Any specific questions or concerns?

I've installed several of the originals with no issue. I usually run a C wire for best performance, but its optional on many system configurations.
The touch model must have a C wire from furnace or air handler as the touch display needs more power and would eat batteries quickly.

i have used them with good result's...original version....i have run them with and without a
"c" common wire, simple program to work with...the alarm/alert text's it sends in case of over/under temp are a great feature.

I have one, had it for a few years, love it, no issues and IMHO cheaper than the other popular wifi tstat

I just set one up in January. Easy to install and setup. I could adjust and check my temp from anywhere. You can also have it drop slightly when when you get a certain distance from home and it would go back up when you get near. Price was good on it and there is a rebate with my utility company. I got the white one without the fancy touch screen. So far no issues at all.

We have a non-touch model that's a few years old now. It works fine. I'd rather it be in a different place in the house (really, I'd rather have separate upstairs and downstairs systems, but cheap house) but that's not the thermostat's problem. I like that I can monitor it and change settings remotely from my phone.
Setup was a pain though.

Can you set the fan to continue running after cool/heat set point is reached? I'm looking for a t-stat that i can not only tailor cool/heat, but also program fan run time after setpoint has been reached for better comfort.
An email I received said the new Sensi Touch has fan control features.

I believe this is part of a new firmware update being pushed. One of the great things about tstats like this, the continuous feature updates.Thank you. All good info.

I would call the install support team to confirm. They are US based and pretty solid.
I'm real leary of these new wireless stats, but being that I'm going to work for an HVAC company I guess I'll have to learn to like em.
Nothing to fear. Its a hardwired 24v tstat with a built in radio. If the radio fails or looses connection to the router it just works like any old tstat, just no remote access via phone.

It appears at least one model has a "circulating fan mode". The fan can be set from 5%-100% cycle time per hour.

I am leaning heavy on this model. Seems Emerson has innovated and redesigned what a T-stat should be.

Pay attention to what you're buying too. The "professional" stuff is the 5 year warranty contractor grade. The others are 3 year warranty homeowner grade.

I am EPA 608 Universal and have accounts at several supply houses (HVAC and Electrical). I'll check to see if they are Emerson dealers. Usually all replacement boards are Protech, not Emerson. This is my first dive into the fancy wi-fi thermostats. I have always installed and used the Pro1 line.
Thanks again. If I buy the 1F95U-42WF, I will provide feedback.
