First I'd like to say, GREAT SITE! This is exactly what I'm looking for, as I just had a pole building built and I'm looking for ideas and suggestions in almost all areas. I've been reading posts the past several days and decided I need to belong to this community!
I have a 40x60x12 pole building and I'm trying to decide what to do for lighting. 8 foot flouro's would work, but I'm also considering having some high power compact flourescent lights hanging from the ceiling in round pendant type fixtures. They seem to have lots of advantages. Cold starting, no buzzing, long lasting, high power but low current (i.e. 55watt draw = 250w incandescent equiv.) easy to change and dispose of compared to 8 foot tubes, ect. Is anyone else using these in a similar sized garage? A HID style housing would be really nice too, with a diffuser on the bottom.
