I have been searching threads and have not found the info I need yet on here.

Has anyone bought the AM-GO 9K 2 post lift? I see ads on FB all day for $2599. I would love to be able to swing a bend pak or rotary, but that isn't going to happen.

So What is everyone using for a solid cheaper two post? Atlas? Tuxedo? Looking for an asymmetric model, top bar.

Peak of the ceiling measured out at 162". Obviously I need to move the ceiling fans and HI-lift the overhead door with an -8500. I haven't been wanting one of these forever and want to pull the trigger.

Pic so you have an idea what I'm feeling with.
Blue dog says Hi.

Thanks
Pete

I purchased the AMGO® Hydraulics OHX-10H Ex-Tall Super-Asymmetric® 2 Post Lift 10,000 lbs late last year. Absolutely love it! If you plan on lifting 3/4 ton+ trucks/suvs I was told you want to stay away from all the 9k lifts. Just depends on your application. The jump from 9k to 10k lifts doesn't seem like much on paper but the 10k+ lifts are a lot beefier.

I was eyeing the 10K version for the possibility of biggers vehicles. Your comments just sealed the debate. How tall are your ceiling rafters in your shop. I don't have a huge amount of overhead space, but it should be enough. Thanks

I have 16' to the bottom of my rafters. The standard height 10k AMGO lift (OHX-10) requires 144" and the Ex-Tall (OHX-10H) requires 157", possibly more if height extensions are used. I have the height extension installed on the Ex-Tall so mine is 168" tall. I installed my lift myself but looking back I would have just paid the $800 install fee. It was a lot of work, while not overly complicated just plain hard work. Keep in mind the lift weighs just under a ton so having something to move it around and stand it up is crucial. I have a tractor with pallet forks I used during the install, I couldn't have done it without it. For me at least, having a lift is life changing!

There's a happy ending to this thread. I ended up going with an extra wide Tuxedo tp-11kc 11000 lb lift. Lowe's had it on sale plus 24 months and zero percent financing. I brought it home on a flatbed car hauler. Used 3 people, a furniture dolly, 2 floor jacks, lots of 2x4s and some jack stands to carefully remove it from the trailer. It took 3 days to install, working slow and redoing a few things along the way.

Now that it's up, I can't wait to start the car repair projects. Pictures are a couple of test runs with different vehicles.
