Looks like the same ladder.

If you look at the "fan video" at that Harbor Freight link - the ladder has Vulcan on the side. Harbor Freight may have changed the name or sourced it elsewhere but, sure looks the same

I've got the HF e-mail but the Amazon price would save me the sales tax. Anyone have or used this brand?

The Vulcan looks like a good general purpose ladder and OSHA certified. The ladder is rated as a “1A ladder (300 lbs) max. the Harbor Freight is also rated as “1A” ladder, however I’m not able to find if it’s certified by OSHA.

Question: When you count the total weight on the ladder; yourself, plus tools plus any item(s) you’re carrying up the ladder or setting on the ladder, do you exceed the max load, If so look at a ladder with a rating of “1AA” (375 lbs).

The cost of a good ladder is a lot cheaper than a medical bill from falling off a ladder

I have a Little Giant in a taller size. When I got mine it came with 3 accessories, a work platform, the wall stand out arm attachment & a leg leveling attachment. The leg leveler could be attached to any leg & additional leg levelers or work platforms could be bought if you wanted. I got an extra work platform.

A couple years back I had the need for 2 of these ladders so I could use them as a tall scaffold. I picked up a ladder very similar to the one in the HF pic & its a good ladder. Its worked well since day one & I still use it regularly

BUT!!!
It's not a Little Giant ladder. Put them side by side & the difference is obvious. The L.G. is visibly beefier, pick them up & you know it.. Climb (please, 1 ladder at a time;) half way up the two at full extension & WOW!! That's when the difference really becomes obvious.
Not that the cheaper one is unsafe in any way but the Little Giant gives me a lot more confidence that the cheaper one does. I don't know the ratings, but the L.G. feels way more capable.

Both mine are the 22' version (5 rung) & when I set them up side by side as full height step ladders the cheaper one is about 2 or 3 inches shorter at the top. Not that its a problem except for when using them as scaffolding the cheaper ladder needed an extra 2 pieces of 2x6 stacked on the cross pieces so the walkway was semi level.

Overall what I'm saying is that the difference in price is justified. And that there is a place for both/either. I like the cheap one because it's way easier to carry around & to maneuver in tight areas. I like the L.G. when carrying weight up the ladder & I use it almost exclusively when using as a straight ladder (not in step form) .

I have a similar ladder that a friend let me use and when I was going to return it to him, he told me to keep it. In my opinion, the ladder works reasonably OK, but I don't really like it all that much. It tends to be a little wobbly and it folds up a bit on the hard side. I have tried lubing the joints where it folds up, but it still isn't the best. Over all the ladder I like the idea of the ladder, folding the way it does make for certainly advantages, so if you have a use for a folding ladder, then I would say it is a good investment. Personally, I would prefer a step ladder for the times when I need an inside ladder and a regular extension ladder for when I need a tall ladder outside.
