Hi everyone,

My name is Garrett and I am a 22 year old student living in Nova Scotia, Canada. I will be beginning my career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (A&P Mechanic in the US) in the next couple of months. I'm looking to get some 12 point SAE sockets in both 1/4" and 3/8" drive to start my toolbox. I would like to go with Craftsman (easier on the pocketbook to start out with)... but the problem is we aren't able to get the 12 points in Canada.

Is there anyone out there in the states that would be willing to give me a hand and purchase some socket sets in store and ship them to me? Sears USA is not willing to ship to Canada. I would be willing to throw some extra cash your way for helping me out.

If this interests anyone... please let me know!

Thanks,
-Garrett

Don't think you could go wrong either way, but my preferance is the SK set that tonydanzah has linked. The ratchet is 72 tooth and the great spline sockets that work on most fasteners.

SK is not allowed on fort hood for aviation use. the 12 point sae set flakes off real bad and with all the FOD regulations you can't be too careful.

start with those or even look on ebay. most aviation companies prefer you to use snap on sockets.

Are you looking for brand new? Im pretty sure all of my 12pts are unused. Ill grab some pics and send you a PM.

If you are looking for someone to buy them from Sears and ship them, have some one in Oregon do it (no sales tax).

Garrett,
You could order from Sears in Maine,I am assuming the closest would be Bangor, and have them ship to Calais,Me. There are a couple of places there that will allow you to have it sent to their store, one of them is called Johnson's hardware, and they will hold it for you. They charge a small fee...$5 or something like that...then you drive down and pick it up or if you know someone around the St. Stephen area, they pick it up and mail it to you....just a thought.
