Been on GJ for a while, but this is my first venture into the HVAC forum, so please be gentle.
Been working as a diesel mechanic on backup generators, but recently took a position working on cell sites where we take care of the HVAC systems as well as the generators. This is a new territory for me, as my limited HVAC experience is from cars/trucks and some refrigerator repairs.
We don't dig too far into the systems, mostly pressure washing coils, straightening fins and testing all the mechanical and electrical systems (and way more pest control than I really like dealing with).
They got me pretty well trained up on the Bard wall mount units, but sent me up to the region I'm moving to this week, where it's all Marvair ComPac units. I understand the basics, but outside of a basic owners manual (that saved my *** trying to jumper systems and checking voltages), I'm mostly in the dark.
Just wondering if anyone here has any info/tips/tricks/documentation for these systems? I'm very comfortable with relay logic and pressure switches, coming from the generator world, but just don't want to chance putting a jumper in the wrong place and damaging anything.
Thanks in advance!
