Done it all, body shop, service, and parts. I'm in parts still, if you can avoid getting into automotive do it. If it's what ya want to do, go heavy line, ****** or diesel. It seems like a steadier flow of work.

I'm negative because I wasted my time getting a bachelors degree and got stuck in this field with no opportunity to move up.

Corporate opportunities seem to be decent if you ever get the option.

Dealerships vary so giving you experience on that would be tricky, they're a separate entity I've worked for good dealers and terrible dealers.

worked at Ford dealerships for 7 yrs. 6 yrs for one..1 yr for another. The first 6 yrs. weren't bad. The last sucked. Since the big bail outs the manufacturers have cut back on warranty times. And according to my last service manager you have to be factory certified to do certain jobs to get paid. Like DelayedZ said get into ****** or diesel if you want to make money.
