I believe my sears doesn't sell them individually, it doesn't have to be as good as craftsman but something around that quality. I bet you can all guess why i'm asking this question. I wish i could buy tools on the internet but my parents won't allow me.

I have a tractor supply near. I need 15 mm and 18 mm in 1/2" drive and shallow, i'll soon be on the hunt for those 2 sizes in deep. 2 of my most used metric sizes causing me to wear out my chrome sockets, the 4 corners are "smudging" on my c-man chrome sockets

i haven't gone into an auto parts store since last year when trying to find a spark plug boot for my sled and no one had one. It's such a generic item, fleet farm carries them, but they were out at the time. And it was late saturday night and snowmobile shops were closed and i needed to get the sled running. Maybe i'll have to take a trip to an auto parts store.

My local Napa has SK. I think Menards has singles of Allen Brand.

An Ad in the classifed section of this board should also produce results. Possibly even truck brands for about the same $ as a new C-man

Edit: Sorry I didn't read the part about buying tools on the internet.

Just get a prepaid credit card or open a bank account with a debit card. Then you can order from anywhere you want ;)

i have to go past one today, looks like i'll be going there

Napa should have some taiwan impact sockets, brace yourself they will be a bit pricey. You may be better off getting an entire set from HF.

I bought a set from HF and i'm missing the 15 and 18 mm sockets as every other HF set. How much is pricey? I wanna keep it under $3 per socket

Napa impact sockets are made by Sunex. I bought a 30mm on sale for 6$. Regular price is probably around 9ish$ for that size. So figure around that price.

You may be better off waiting until Menards has one of thier sales on Allen & Gearwrench tools (usually 17-25% off).

I bought a 10 pc. set. I guess i'll buy deep ones that come with a 15 and 18 sometime. I went to advanced auto parts, true value, Ace hardware, and napa and none of them had em. Advanced auto parts did have single deep impact sockets, but i wanted the shallow ones.

One of my local small industrial supply places has a metal rack with all kinds of Gray sockets and extensions, etc. I suspect most industrial supply places will have individual sockets, Grainger also.

Thinking about it, Fleet farm in Wausaw has Allen tools.

But most menards stores I've been to ought to have a decent selection of Allen sockets

your local sears doesn't have singles in the impacts? I know i've gotten them before but it could have been long enough ago that they don't do that anymore.

Seems if you're looking to replace individual Craftsman pieces, even though the store may not carry singles they should be able to order them. How else can they make good on the lifetime guarantees for sockets? If they won't do it, an Orchard Supply Hardware has single Craftsman pieces including sockets and wrenches.

As for the workaround fix for your parents, if you've got a bank account, your bank should be able to hook you up with an ATM / Mastercard that draws off the account just like writing a check. OR failing that, how bout a PayPal account? Works good for a lot of vendors including the Bay. Whaddya think? ;>)

I talked to my mom about the idea of a debit card. She liked it. I didn't get to go to that fleet farm but i checked out the truck i was going to look at. It was alright.

Debit cards are not really secure from what I've gathered. A prepaid visa/mastercard (like a reloadable gift card) would probably be better.

I didnt even get an offer in the mail till I was 19-20...

might be too late but....

1. every sears i've been in does individual impact sockets but if yours doesn't...
2. you can order them with the in-store kiosk and they will ship them for free.
3. i'm pretty sure you can pay in the store with a kiosk purchase and if not, they can call and order them for you and take the $.

craftsman impact sockets for about $8 apiece for shallow. just got one today....

My sears only had singular deep impact sockets. I went to fleet farm today and picked up 15 and 18 mm shallow 1/2" drive impact sockets for $3 a piece. Made in taiwan, good enough for me for the price
