Hello all,
Im Chris, and Im a toolaholic. I stumbled upon this site while google searching for side cabinets for my tool box.

Like a lot of you, Im a car guy too. Over the years ive had a number of car projects which has resulted in a fair to expansive tool collection. My most recent vehicle is a 1991 300zx which I converted to twin turbo as well as completely changed its color from metallic black to in your face yellow.

Im also a fairly accomplished woodworker. I made every piece of furniture in my home and then some.

Anyway, Im glad I found yall and plan to scour the site in depth.

Chris

The conversion has been finished for about 2 years now. Once I had maybe 500 miles on it I drove it 1500 miles to North Carolina from Texas with out a glitch, thankfully!

This is where it started.

This is what I wound up with.

Its my third z32. I started out wanting a slicktop (no t-tops) but wound up buying a nice non-turbo car with t-tops. I converted that car to twin turbo as well, then I finally found the slicktop, decided I only wanted one twin turbo car and converted it back to non-turbo and added a few upgrades while putting it back together. Then totally rebuilt that turbo engine and put it into the slicktop. Its a sickness.

Welcome to the Garage Journal Chris nice ride had one of those when i was young and had lots of money bought it from JVC it had a wicked stereo system in it and got it pretty cheap as long as i didn't paint over the two foot JVC letters all over the car black car gold lettering didn't look to bad but i had to sign a contract stating that i could remove letters or paint over them i owned a stereo shop at the time so the JVC rep was always around so no cheating oh well it was a great car none the less. Have fun here and enjoy

The color is called "smooth yellow" actually. Its a Boyd Coddington signature color from the hot hues line by Dupont.. of the 2500 slicktops produced in the 6 year run there were two painted yellow and I never much cared for that metallic pearl yellow.
