Apartment Garage Ideas?

I live in a apartment complex and have a small 1 car garage. There is not much room for the car so i basically just use it for storage and working on my son's dirt bike. I am wanting to build a couple of movable workbenches/storage areas.

I have looked at allot of the 1 car garage build threads on here and have not really found what i am looking for. They wouldn't need to be very big, just enough to put his bike on or other small projects.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Nathan

Re: Apartment Garage Idea's?

I suppose the most important question I can ask, is how much electrical power is supplied to the garage?

very very little. Actually the only plug is in the ceiling for the garage door opener. I ran a short power strip off of it for small items.

I have and love most of the ideas, but allot of them are mounted to walls and so on. I am just looking for a few ideas on movable storage and workbenches. That way when we move i dont have fix holes in walls in the garage and the apartment.

Bummer.

My home has a 1 car, I put shelving up high along the walls, and put stuff in plastic totes to help clear floor space.

Drywall holes are an easy fix, a single tube of nail hole filler and some light sanding.

Otherwise, a tall storage rack and totes towards the rear, and a small workspace closer to the door for space and light.

Re: Apartment Garage Idea's?

I like the "not attached" shelving ideas. Most of the stuff in my two car can jump in the back of a moving truck if I went. However my shelves and cabinets are really heavy so it will be pretty hard for my wife to load them-yeah right! Even my tool boards can come down and go if need be. For yours, just keep some hole filler and an extra gallon of paint.
