I know this has been beat to death but I couldn't find that answer that I was looking for. I am looking for the answer to..... what clear apoxy can I put on my black and white vinyl floor in my garage to make sure that it won't discolor and can I also add anti-slip to it?

First of all WHAT type of Vinyl Floor is it????

Is it Commercial VCT (Vinyl Composite Tile), Like what you see in Department stores and Grocery Stores???

is it just "Linoleum" ????

Commercial ROLLED vinyl?

GENERALLY, Epoxies will NOT stick to 'vinyl' or PLASTIC.

BUT it will adhere to VCT. If Possible Post a Pic.

Then I can Help you IF there is a Solution.

The tile is from home depot and it is 1'x1'x1/4'' I believe it is made by anderson. They will be glued and rolled. As for it not sticking to the tile I thought somewhere I read that I could scuff it to make the apoxy stick. I'm not sure if it is vct.

I'm curious as to why you want to epoxy over VCT? To me, it's kinda like laying hardwood floors over carpet-they're both 'finished' flooring.
I'm thinking that epoxy over VCT wouldn't wear as well as just VCT becasue of the difference in materials and heat / cold changes. High quality VCT is tough as ****. Next time you're in a WalMart, grocery store, hospital or mall, look down. Chances are you're walking on VCT. They run forklifts, pallet trucks and all kinds of stuff on it all day long.

The reason for apoxy over vct is that tires turn them yellow. It'll look like **** in 1 month. It's not about the duribility of the tile.
