App to catalog or organize tools?

Does anyone use an app or maybe a spreadsheet to inventory their tools and their location whether shop, garage or maybe vehicle? Id like to use something like this and was looking for one in the apple app store but didn't see anything jumping out at me. I saw some for businesses to catalog tools between employees and job sites, but that seemed a bit more in depth than i would need.

Another great organizational tool to use are stickers to put on drawers, bins, etc.. At work we have bin #"s on every bin or box we store product (specialty tools that we sell). Someone orders a widget 5542 or whatever and the database has a bin # where it's at.

All the bins are in numerical order. Also you can add a letter to the number if you want to squeeze in other bins. 3A, 3B, etc..

So if you have a lot of small items in one bin, you can know what bin to look in -- instead of dumping out 10 different bins.

To keep my insurance company happy, I have been tracking my tools on an Open Office Spread Sheet. In the event of a loss, I have a record and I'm able to keep up with replacement costs.

Stickers are a great idea and I’ve done that. However, I now wish I’d used magnetic tape instead of P-Touch labels since I’ve re-arranged my tool boxes.

I do this as well. Very detailed excel spreadsheet with every item's part number, serial number (if applicable), and cost inventoried.

I think you may be able to utilize the Milwaukee One Key app for basic inventory duties
