I was wondering what you found the flex-head style of wrench useful for. I'm not talking about a flex head ratchet or a flex head box end, it's more like a socket on the end of a wrench...see http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...2&group_ID=562&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog for an example. If you do find them useful, do you recommend the style with a flex head on each end, or with a flex head on one end and an open end on the other end?

I have these SK sets. I have not used them much, but they are kind of handy. I would not call them a necessity. In most cases a breaker bar and shallow socket will do the same thing.

I'm a fan of them. Cat mechanics like 'em for 4 bolt "Cat flange" hose fittings. I would recomend open end instead of double box, allows double wrenching, etc. All mine are snap on.

The most popular bolt sizes I work with are 13mm, 14mm, 1/2, 9/16, so I have those sizes in Saltus -- can't say they get much use, but certainly handy when you need it. I have no inclination to "round out" the set.

They are really nice when working blind or overhead.... Keep the nut trapped when it comes off the bolt so it doesn't wind up in the depths of your boat's bilge.
