Apply flakes on a vertical surface / baseboard?

There has to be something on this, but I have searched to no avail, if you know of a thread please re-direct.........

I've seen several posts on here that have baseboards done using epoxy when applying the floor.

I want to do the same, and lip mine up the first row of block, question is:

How are you all getting an even broadcast of flakes on the vertical surfaces without getting too many stuck on the floor directly below it?

Can use compressed air to blow them onto the wall and yes... you do these first.
