Aquor water hydrant inside garage?

I have a bathroom on other side of wall in my garage which would make it easy to run softened water to wash cars.

Anybody use these sleek hydrants? Is it overkill and should I just run a simple hot/cold hose bib. Trying to make it look like nothing is there…

Softened water isn't going to give you a spot free finish, if that's what you're going for. If not, why are you wanting to use softened water?

I'll add that the softened water doesn't spot but if my truck happens to get hit by my lawn sprinklers , the untreated water leaves spots like crazy. And actually, some sodium does end up in the water but very little and it's not calcium chloride like road salt.

The Aquor special connector is plastic and gets lost at the day job.

Then when you want to turn the hose off, you turn it out from the hydrant and then what? You drop it on the ground so you can use it tomorrow but now the grease on the o-ring has picked up grit and with use it starts to leak.

Oh, and the literature says you can’t use it for more than 12 hours.
