No. I have some Taiwanese made ratchets that have stood up to years of use with no worries and some brand new Taiwanese ones of another brand that are junk in comparison.

Taiwan Based Tool Companies don't necessarily manufacture all their tools in Taiwan. INFAR is one example; with a majority of their workforce in a modern factory located in mainland China.
Much of the quality depends on the price and specifications agreed upon by the distributor/retailer.
You can end up with good tools or **** from any country.. I give a few extra points for Taiwan origin on some budget tools; but I am generally not a big fan of re-branded tools.

Countries don’t make tools.
Countries are political entities, not manufacturers of consumer products, with the exception that some countries had state run manufacturing entities.
I don’t know of any state run tool factories in existence today, though.

Threads like this hurt my head. Are all tools made in America equal? As many stated above me, the company makes the tool, not the country. Lots of videos about Taiwanese tool manufacturer's and how the process works.

No. Every now and then you get a dud and it also depends on whether or not the outsourcer just goes with the lowest bidder. Also, with how low some of the prices are, I wouldn't be surprised if they use some Made in China parts.
