Isn't Waterloo a USA copmpany? It's owned by Fortune Brands.
Fortune Brands, Inc.
520 Lake Cook Road
Deerfield, IL 60015
But they do some of their production here, in Mexico and offshore.

Last I had it a couple years ago it was.

Large ones and small hand boxes made in Mexico.

The 26 inch size was US, but that could have changed. USA was on the boxes of the ones we got last year.

The el-cheapo homeowners series I had seen with China on the shipping box. This is the ones below the quiet glide standard.

I just bought a cheapo 26-inch intermediate box from Lowes (TaskForce) that, but for the name plate and drawer trim, is identical to my 15-y.o. Craftsman cheapo rolling chest. Both are Waterloo. It (the TaskForce) was made in the US....

The 26in 14-drawer quiet glide combo I bought a couple months ago was made in China. Every box I looked at in the store up to 56in was made in China or unmarked.

Where on the box does it say Made in China? I went to Sears today and I looked around the box but I didn't see any words "Made in China" on the box.

It says on the shipping crate label, it's stamped on the bottom of the box and on the red safety/pn sticker on the boxes I've looked at.

I have a total of 3 Craftsman tool storage boxes (26" combo) and a tool cart, the boxes all start with OEM code 706 which after a little Googling turns out is Waterloo as I suspected. The cart starts with 502, and Google returns that as Murray, I know Murray makes lawn mowers and such for Craftsman, so is it possible they have allocated the same number to 2 different companies, or does Murray make toolcarts?

I have waterloo promaxx tool boxes and I could not for the life of me find a "made in ***" anywhere on the box or the shipping box. I do recall the "inspected by" person's name was spanish so I'm guessing made in mexico.

Code:
 What is the item number?
The number on the cardboard box is 934120 but the 9 is half the size as the others. It was shipped from SPG International in Quebec.

Today at Sears, I was looking at the craftsman 7 drawer grip latch bottom box they had in clearance, and the box was also there. I looked all over the box and it does not say where the box is made at.

I ordered a 26 inch BB top and bottom combo and it said Made in USA on it when I received it.

Might have been N.O.S. so who knows. All I know is that I havn't had a lick of trouble with it, other than after roughly 25 minutes, I had it filled to the brim with tools and ran out of space.:lol_hitti

So are you in Canada? Sears is different there from here (numbers don't transfer, stuff made by different companies, etc).

Yes I am in Canada. Its red with black trays and the dimensions are 21 1/4'' w. x 8 3/4'' d. x 12'' h. overall if Usa's Sears carries the same one.

No they don't, part number doesn't cross over either (used it to search the site). It has been years since they have (one was in the classifieds). I have an old Kennedy but it is too tall for the location I want to put it (needs to stash under a seat for road use), so far only one Excel brand fits my needs (wanted to see what else was out there first).

I see this is an old thread, but I have been looking for an American made tool box, not Chinese or Canadian. But I have come to the conclusion I am not going to find an American made for a couple hundred bucks. An American made tool box is gonna cost 1000's of dollars not hundreds. I am looking for used American made, still there not cheap and some have missing parts. I'll keep looking!

I was in your same situation. I ended up with a Canadian made International.
