Wondering what everybody’s thoughts are on the Mac drill bits. I like that every bit is lifetime warranty. Looking for a good general use drill bit set.

i got no complaints and my mac guy replaces bits to my fancy every month or 2 .
Probably not best buy if don't have fairly regular mac truck access .

Their life time warranty is quite silly but I love mine. Cobalt drill bits that they'll replace no questions asked.

Well I guessI gotta be the hater. I’ve had mine for 5 years and have never been impressed. Make sure you have a good Mac guy because you’ll be warrentying a lot of bits. I mainly use mine for drilling out hardend bolts, cast iron and mild steal. Neither of which I have ever been impressed with. I find they are good for the first cut MOST of the time after that I take them to the drill doctor. I have had several that come full from Mac new that I had to sharpen right away. My co workers last 1/2” came soft and came apart in the pilot hole he had drilled. It didn’t break it littered mushroomed into the size of a 1/8 pilot hole before bending 45*, it was pretty cool to look at. The Mac guy did warranty it. I have since bought KnKuts for less than 1/3 the money and use the Mac ones as loners along with my Milwaukee set.
