Are qualtech "real" tools

I've seen qualtech drills and cutters and the prices look pretty good. Perhaps too good. My question isn't whether they are the best. If I need the best I'll buy to brands from Germany or Japan or the US. My question is, if I order a Qualtech M42 cobalt drill bit, will I actually get a M42 cobalt drill bit that can more or less do the things you expect a M42 drill bit to do, or will I get something like this. A vaguely drill bit based object, that's more like a movie prop than an actual tool.

I was given one of those drill indexes with numbered, fractional, metric and letter bits. I knew from the first look it was very likely the set was poor quality. Many of the bits had fallen out of their places and the index was just short of junk. I was drilling a 1/2" hole in aluminium when the frill caught and stated to unwind into a dual straight flute drill.
A proper USA made drill has never let me down. France makes a top quality drill bit. I like and buy YAMAWA taps and dies. Buy once and never cry later.

I believe his point was why risk it. If you’re set on them then buy them and let people know if they work or not. Otherwise pony up and buy something reliable.

Because if someone else has tried them, I could save myself the bother. There's a vast spectrum of quality. At one end there's top of the line professional quality. Then there's stuff you can go down to the hardware store and buy and it works ok. Its not going to last like the pro stuff, but depending on what your doing, it may make sense. 50 bucks for a drill bit vs 10 is quite a big difference, especially when all you really need to do is drill a couple of holes and move on. Then there's the harbor freight stuff. Some of it works but wears out fast. Other stuff barely works or doesn't at all. Then there that drill bit I uploaded a picture of, that's really just a piece of unhardened mild steel in the shape of a drill bit. They all have a use. (Except maybe the last) If someone has used a Qualtech bit, it would be nice to know where it goes on that spectrum. If no one has, then I'll have to decide if I want to find out myself.
