Looking at buying a set online. Not sure of their origin. Anyone know?

Thanks!

Monte, the packaging looks exactly the same as the ones I see hanging from the peg at the local Sears sold here. The tool is absolutely made in Germany, however except for the markings it looks like an identical clone to an old Stanley Yankee one I have that was made in the USA a long time back.

They are very fine tap ratchets. You will not be disappointed.

Enco sells them. Right now with 20% off and free shipping.

For the tap ratchets that are currently imported to the U.S., I believe they are actually made by Peddinghaus which took over Schröder in 2012 if I'm not mistaken. Due to the populartity of the Schröder tap ratchet namesake, Peddinghaus has continued to manufacture them under the Schröder "branding." (Monte, please correct me if I'm wrong -- I'm curious to learn more about the current Peddinghaus/Schröder manufacturing situation.)

I think SnapOn might've rebranded them under their Blue Point label for a while.

I have a few and they're great!

Hey KCT! I just noticed your site. Nice one. There was a guy on here previously (don't know if he's still here) that had some very nice pliers selections -- from a German brand. Can't recall which but remarkable quality.

Thank you for the kind words. Perhaps the other guy you are referring to is Ash from G-H-T (www.german-hand-tools.com). He has a great selection of German-made pliers and hard-to-find German tools available. As others on GJ can attest, it's always a pleasure to do business with him.

Thanks. I think that was it. Some great pliers. But you're store is great too. Do wish the dead blows were listed in grams rather than ounces. But minor quibble. Got to check some of those out!
