I was looking for a good set of swivel 1/2 dr impacts, and noticed that the craftsman and SK brands look very similar, yet the craftsman is near 1/2 the cost of SK.

Are they made in the same factory? Anybody know? I'll probably go with the Craftsman set, I've had great luck with their regular deep impacts.

The new craftsman are made in china, the sk are still made in the USA by sk. The older craftsman made in the USA might have been sk. Not all craftsman are source to apex.

The Craftsman are the same as Matco. Their pinless swivel impacts are considered among the best, especially given the cost.

Armstrong Craftsman and Matco are the only 3 that make pinless sockets. The Armstrong and Matco swivels are a little deeper than the Craftsman. I have the Craftsman set then filled in the blanks with Armstrong that I found online for $10-$20 each.
I can post pictures of the differences if you'd like

I did the same thing with regular impact sockets and the Armstrong and Craftsman sockets are exactly the same.
