Are Snap On screwdriver bits warrantied?

Got maybe a dumb question as I'm probably sure of answer buy are snap on bits able to be replaced with new ones if they strip out? My gut says no as I think bits are consumables and you cannot warranty. Just asking because I just bought one of their hard handle ratcheting screwdrivers that I've heard so much good things about like them being legendary and for the price I'm sure it has to be. It has a great feel in the hand and is quite heavy and feels very well made compared to all my cheapo ones. I know that the screwdriver itself has life time warranty and as little as I may use should last forever as I have 3 7.2v with 6 batteries and some normal and instinct hard handles which I use most often.. I bought the black one as I'm usually getting filthy but wanted green or the pink for my wife but they didn't have that one online website. Anyways sorry for book and thanks for any comments. One more question how are the bits in terms of holding up?

You can buy new snappy bits for $3 dollars shipped to your door. Think about that for a second. Thats a great value if you legitimately damage a bit.

If you are using powertools they are consumables like any other, so you should be budgeting replacements into to your cost of doing business.

I have no idea, but I've never warrantied a bit. I've never had one fail under normal use and like T45 pointed out, I just pay for replacements when they get worn...

Your Snap On dealer might replace them for you, but is under no obligation to. Bits and such, by ALL brands, are considered consumables and are only warrantied against defects.

I agree of price is cheap but not all bits are cheap I am meaning all bits not just for the screwdriver but the long and specialty bits. Even maybe the socket ones as well but I already have a bunch of other brand bits that are consumables for sure just didn't know if snap on is different. How's the quality over others? I'm wanting a set of wera bits badly and hazet sockets with hex and torx but have enough of the normal common sizes might get torx plus or triple hex or square you know in that line as I have none.

It don't say screwdriver bits. But I do know all tool brands warranty say only factory defect but all even HF will warrant broken and worn out tools as I'd say 98% of snap ons warrantied tools are either just wore out from use or broken from abuse or being wore out as well. Ive warrantied tools over the phone that I had broken before matter of fact just did. Ive taken wore out tool to HF impact sockets to be exact and got new even. The reason why is because they are a nice company and want all customers to be happy. Now I saw this guy on youtube who warrantied a ratchet with snap on over the phone and he was instructed to throw away his old one but instead he gets new ratchet and don't use it, instead gets a rebuild kit for his old one and makes a video for world to see. I left him a ****** comment and said that was a crook move and said he knew he was suppose to throw out old one. No wonder why we pay so much for tools. I always honor their request and toss it I don't care if it has value a because they we're kind enough to send me a brand new one. I wouldn't ever warranty a screwdriver bit I wore out I would buy new. I just wanted to know if you could.

I bought my ratcheting screwdriver in 1995. It has all the original bits except for two. I legitimately broke a #2 Phillips and the larger flathead bit. Driver replaced them no questions asked. I was using quite a bit of strength on them.

If I had just worn them out, I'd pony up the $3.

If you have a good relationship with a S-O driver and do consistent business with them, they may replace them out of good will...

They are not. Co-worker tried that but the driver says it's a consumable. I bought a bunch of Makita gold and they've lasted a couple of years without edges breaking off or stripping. I use the Makita bits on the SO ratcheting hard handles and cordless screwdriver, cordless impacting driver, etc.

I like the Milwaukee bits with the black tip. I keep breaking Dewalt bits. The entire half of the bit snaps off. I also broke both the Dewalt 3/8" and 1/2" socket adapters to 1/4" impact driver bits. I now have the Milwaukee bits and have not broke them. I haven't used Snap-On bits but I have broke many of their sockets. And I just use Husky stuff now because I can walk right in and exchange them at HD without chasing the big red truck down.

I go through at least 4 or 5 screwdriver bits on a day when i'm driving lots of screws. That's when i noticed he differences in quality. The Dewalt 20v impact breaks them in half a lot.

I have some the Milwaukee bits and those are great. I don't haven't tried a single snap on bit yet as I have a bunch and just got them. I just wanted to ask basically if they did warranty their bits for future reference but I myself would just buy more as I don't have a truck to go to and don't want to have to call or mail something off over $3 but some are not cheap and might. But like all mine are new and wanted ask how they hold up as well as I use primarily my 7.2v screw gun but forgot to say about 18v makita impact I have also and use I prefer power tools as much easier on wrists turning screws.

I know Matco has both kind of bits. Lifetime and consumables. I believe Snap On has both as well. I would check with Snap On customer service to see which you have.
