Are their any SDS max extensions

I’m using a garden auger made my custom augers / and a makita right angle drill to make a 5.75 inch hole to add a deck post. Drill clutch engages when I hit a big rock. Bought a little Bosch dh107 demo hammer. Even using a 24 inch bull point it’s hard to get enough reach when 24 or more inches down. I’m thinking I need to widen hole to give demo hammer room. Adding middle post so I can dig up left post that has rot. Figured middle post will support deck when I dig out left post. It’s a smal 8 x 8 deck. I thought with the 8 inch nose on the demo hammer it would reach further. Wish the made a reasonably priced extension.

I welded an extension to an auger that I use to tunnel under walks and walls. Works great…just get a sacrificial bit and cit the business end off, weld an intermediate section to desired length and weld the chuck end back on… don’t have it handy or I would post a pic up…

Well this sounds like a great time for buying a HF SDS-Max bit, and cutting it up for some welding.

I made hole wider so maybe I will be fine without extension. I’m gonna use a 12 inch footing pad. www.footingpad.com Been using the DH507 and a clay spade to open up hole wider. Its not deep enough I want to go down 30-36 inches. I do a little digging when I have time. Eventually it will get done.
