Are there different M12 batteries?

A Milwaukee M12 2311-21 inspection camera arrived yesterday and the battery with it fits but both the small and large battery from my M12 drill/driver combo doesn't push in all the way.

They look the same, but I haven't started measuring on a surface plate yet. Aren't they all supposed to be the same?

Ya they all should be the same but I have seen variances in the way some batteries go in some are much tighter than others its seems.

Regardless all my go in some just need more push and real tug to get them out.

Worst case loosen the handle screws slightly. Insert the battery and re snug it slightly I had to that with Makita batteries some years ago it was so tight a fit I couldn't get them out

Slap them in.. ive had a few that were a tight fit, but loosened up after the first or second install.. you won't hurt anything. Just push.

Figured it out. The plate with the pins that the battery plugs into is twisted.
