Are these impact sockets worth it?

Hey

I want to know if I should grab these impact sockets. They are by my favourite brand (and probably the best Aussie made one). Currently I don't have any air/electrical tools to use them on.

Are these worth getting or should I save money and just grab a normal set of sockets. My only problem is that these aren't deep.

Place where I will be buying: http://www.bunnings.com.au/kincrome-10-piece-impact-socket-set_p6110361
Kincrome Website: https://www.kincrome.com.au/product/13359M/air-impact-socket--set-10-piece-metric-1~2~--square-drive

The other socket set: http://www.bunnings.com.au/socket-set-kincrome-10pce-1-2in-rail-k2174_p6120238
Kincrome listing: https://www.kincrome.com.au/product/K2174/10pc-1~2~-sktset-rail-met-(mp)

Has anyone used these before? I am leaning a lot towards the impact but if the normal are going to be better I will take them instead.

Thanks

They are chrome moly so they're the right grade of tool for impact use. However, whenever they mention "ansi" it usually means they're made in china, taiwan, or india. Taiwan is preferred (for me at least) because the fit/finish/quality/performance is more consistent and since you don't have harbor freight you're probably not going to find a cheap any cheaper where you live. The crv (chrome) set looks similar to the taiwanese sets lowes sell but you should check the country of origin prior to purchase. These would equate to around 36 bucks (in USD) which is a tad overpriced but I don't know the price of tools in australia. The cr mo is around 45 bucks (in USD) which is again slightly overpriced compared to what we get/pay.

However, this doesn't mean they are bad tools. I use modern taiwanese tools all the time including impact and they are very good. I wouldn't pay those asking prices for chinese though.

Thanks for your help. Here in Australia everything is about double the price of any other country i.e. a game is $50 in America it will be about $90-100 here.

The reason I like Kincrome so much is the warranty/guarantee they offer.

Supercheap Auto is the only other place that does cheap tools but they are extremely poor quality.
Here are their 1/2 impact sets:
http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/on...e-1-2-Drive-Deep-Metric.aspx?pid=288679#Cross
http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/on...ce-1-2-Drive-Std-Metric.aspx?pid=288678#Cross

And their tools are hit and miss. I have seen these in person and they look really bad (the ones on display had cracks in them.

If that's the case (2x the price of US equivalent) then these sets would be somewhat cheaper than we pay (rather less than 2x the price). If they're taiwan you'll get good use out of them but you should check them out in store if possible prior to purchase.

Picked them up today. They are fantastic, used them a couple of times already. They are great for really stuck bolts because I don't have to worry about breaking my normal sockets. Plus, if I do get any impact drills/wrenches/ratchets I will have a set to use.

The person also told me that as long as I keep the receipt, getting them replaced or refunded if something goes wrong, is almost guaranteed.

The rail clip is also of good quality, I can mount it onto something (maybe a piece of wood).
