Looking for a really nice full-set of screwdrivers at a good price. What's the feedback on these? About the only part I didn't like were the black handles (colored ones are easier to find when I misplace them). Are they hard handled?

Thanks for any feedback. Seems like a deal for just over $100

SKU: SK 86316
21 Pc SureGrip Combination Screwdriver and Pry Bar Set

That's green, not black. I'm not a fan of them, but somebody else might like them. I hate the handles, it's not that the tips were bad.

Are they hard handles?

They seem to be just regular square handles with a gimmicy twist at the end. I can get the whole set for just over $100 shipped.

Thanks for the feedback, anyone else with experience to share?

Most people seem to be with Nissan Crawler on these..... the handles had potential.. being a square design and hard plastic. However they blew it because they are smooth. No grip to them at all. If you haven't ever seen a matco or snap on hard handle driver they are actually textured with a "grain" to them so your hands grip instead of slip. These are designed with no texturing, etc. They are as slick as a granite counter. I'd say look at the newer SK style drivers.. I think they are called ergotwist or something. They look like this.

Except I really wanted hard handles.. my tech center is stocked with SO, these are for my garage, so no need to go crazy, just want something nice and a complete set in one fell swoop.

Thanks for the heads up on the "no grain"...

I'd do a search for one of the dealers/distributors who sell the Williams logo'd versions of the S/O hard handles. Thats probably what would suit you best and have the functionality you wanted.

PS those SK's handles (in the pic above) are similar the the Facom texture.. whch is a "semi" hard handle (at least my term). Its not soft grippy rubberized but its not super hard. Facom's are loved by alot of people on this board myself included.

Yes, they are good. They are French made. The hexbolster is attached to the blade. The handles are slick shiney green when new but, lose their slickness with use, exposure to chemicals, nicks, etc. SK screwdrivers are pretty durable, offer great value if you shop around, and will serve you well.

The GearWrench screwdrivers are extremely comfortable and very sticky.

Your hand will want to have *** with the handle. :)

I've seen both smooth and "grain" S-O screwdriver handles. I believe there was a discussion about this previously here.
