I know next to nothing about lighting but what I do know is that the one incandescent, does not supply nearly enough light for my garage (even if its just a one car garage).

So its time to finally upgrade to T8 bulbs. The question is what fixtures should i get? Im thinking I am going to want to have 6-8 tubes worth of lighting.

Are these any good?

Any good ones from any of the main big box retailers such as homedepot or lowes?

I have 9 Utilitech T8 wrap lights in my garage (two diff styles too), and they have been performing flawlessly. No noise, instant on, no interference. Very happy with the purchase. Using GE Bright White bulbs as well, the Daylight was a bit too intense/blue for my liking.

EDIT: This was all from Lowes.

Thanks, for the suggestion ill have to swing by lowes and check what they have, since lowes.ca (canada) really *****.

Worked on my cars today, and really hate the lack of lighting in there.

In my area of the country Lowes does not carry the lithonia brand which I have liked and used for years. Home Depot does and I bought six fixtures like you are looking at about a month ago for $39 each.

I believe those are the ones I bought at Menards, maybe not. They were about 40 bucks each. They work nice but they did cause some radio interference.
