Are these two Bosch drills the same?

I'm wondering if the drill sold as PS130 in North America is identical to the one marketed elsewhere as GSB 1080-2-li Professional.

Other than the lettering printed on them, they look the same, seem to have the same features and specs, both are made in Malaysia, etc.

If we're just talking about bare tools (not the chargers, which I know are different), is there any reason to get one versus the other? Only thing I can imagine is if the Professional series might have better internals, somehow...?

Well, first I tried calling the US service number, but the person I spoke to couldn't get past the difference in the chargers. Told me the foreign version of the drill wouldn't work in the US, period. Then I wrote an email to an international service address and haven't heard back after a few days. Thought I'd see if any resident Bosch experts might know offhand.

I guess a more general question might be if the standard blue tools sold in the US use the same parts as the Professional line.

Basic comparison one list max impacts per minute as 18,750 and the other 19,500. One has an rpm range of 0-400/0-1,300 and the other is 0-380/0-1,300, also length one is 188mm and the other is 10" (254mm).

The GSB 1080 is a cheaper version for other markets (Asia, Russia etc.). The equivalent of the PS130 is the GSB 10,8-2-Li
