Are your tools and boxes insured at work?

The thread about if anyone locks their boxes got me thinking. I found out just a couple years ago that where I work ( a Goodyear franchise), our tools and boxes are not covered by the stores insurance. This astounded me.
I was wondering if this is the norm among not only automotive shops but any industrial shop where you keep your personal tools and boxes at work.

Current place of employment yes. All our boxes and tools are insured to 60k.

Good question. I asked my boss this question a while back. Still haven't gotten an answer. I'll have to ask again!
