Area between poly floor and channel drains

We had the garage floor coated with polyaspartic a year ago and just replaced the driveway with new channel drains. Everything looks okay except for the patch of concrete between the coated floor and the channel drains. Would really appreciate any suggestions on how to clean up this area?

I’ve just met with the polyaspartic rep again and he advised us not to coat the area since it’s exposed to the elements (including snow and salt here on the east coast).

I also asked the driveway company if they could install Belgian blocks there but they are reluctant to do so given the risk of damaging the poly coating.

I would recommend painting it with 1-part epoxy paint. You could use gray or black to match the drains and provide a color contrast to the floor. Concrete paint and 1-part epoxy paint are UV stable and will not yellow. They also breathe so that some moisture vapor may be able to transmit and reduce peeling. It's also easy to touch up. You will probably need to do so once a year, but it's a lot cheaper and easier than putting down a coating that may peel due to being exposed to the outside elements.
