I need a new hose to regulator fitting for my argon tank, for the Mig.

What kind of fittings do you guys have, mine was plastic, thats why i need a new one.

Is there a particular name for the fitting?

It depends a lot on the regulator.
I'd take the regulator to the LWS, not a hardware store. They will certainly have the fitting, whereas a hardware store likely will not.
My Victor flowmeter regulators (US made), do not have NPT fittings. Actually, neither do my oxygen or acetylene regulators, although at least in those, you can unscrew the fitting from the regulator body and the hole tapped in the regulator body is NPT. This is not an option with my flowmeter regulators.
