Armand Bench Grinder?! Google that!

While looking around on the inter web for info on my craftsman grinder I stumbled across this.
All I know is it is made by Armand. California _____corp
Discs measure around 4" across. 110v power, no ground, wiring insulation reminds me of early 60-70s wiring.




I CANNOT find anything at all about this grinder. Thus I turn to the Garage Journal library of knowledge for answers!!!!

1947?! Cheese and rice! This thing is older than I thought. I don't know how you found that info but I really appreciate it. I tried for hours to find anything at all and ended up empty handed.

Best guess at the name in quotes and search google books - hidden in the 'more' dropdown at the right of regular google.

If no luck, try just parts of the name in quotes.
Toward the end of the pop sci with the ad, there is a huge article on South Bend machines.
