There are so many products out there it is very confusing. I have been looking at the following products:

Armorchip from Armorgarage (appears to be made by Armorpoxy)
Armorclad from Armorpoxy
EpoxyMaster....from Costco
Epoxycoat
Wolverine

I have also ruled out the waterbased products such as Rustoleum, Behr, H & C.

I have moved away from the Epoxycoat and EpoxyMaster based on not having a top coat.

So I have been going back and forth between Armorchip, Armorclad, and Wolverine. I would like to thank Fred for his help, but I think I just can't afford the Wolverine.

Anyone out there used Armorclad or Armorchip???

Mike

Finished my floor this week. Armorchip looks great! Installation went very well. I did a second etching to be sure. The 2 things I would recommend. The spike soles where a HUGE help. Even if you don't think you need them, spend the little extra and get them. Also, I used a respirator. The fumes from the top coat where pretty strong. The floor looks great. I'm going to wait a little extra time before moving the vehicles in. So I will update on how it looks after vehicle traffic. I can't say enough about the customer service from Armorgarage. I asked a lot of questions and Jim responded very quickly and professionally everytime.

Post some pics Mike. I used Armorgarage Armorchip (excellent customer service!) a few weeks ago and I'm pretty happy with the result, although I ended up having to redo my topcoat last night. Wish I too had used a respirator because the fumes are strong enough to take down an elephant.

I will try and post some pictures tonight....after football! I went out and bought a respirator after you said how strong the fumes where. Why did you have to redo the topcoat?

Initial topcoat was still tacky 2 weeks after application. Reapplied topcoat was completely dry the next day, so it's finally finished...4 weeks after starting the project!

Hey Mike, I coated my floor with Armorchip this past summer and the overall look is absolutely awesome!!! Initial prep work was easily accomplished just like in their video. I didn't use the cleated soles. I simply laid down a 3ft x 10ft patch and sprinkled on the color chips. Hindsite...I probably woulda bit the bullet and bought the spikes but still...it turned out a work of art if I say so myself. Got lots of rave reviews and now with the hot rod parked in there along with my cabinets, work bench, beer fridge, TV, tool box....oh man it's to die for pal!!!! No worries about chipping or hot tire pick-up...it's like coating your cement with cement!!!! Honestly...it's an awesome product and they stand behind it 100%. The help they provide you is great as well, either over the phone or via emails. Hope that's of some help pal. If you need some pictures let me know..Dave.
