Just want to share my experience with both:

In Feb. 2014 I applied U Coat It after diamond cutting and prep. It's a two coating process and at the time a clear topcoat was not offered. In 2017 I heavily scuffed the U Coat It and laid down the ArmorClad kit with topcoat.

The U Coat It (not much smell and no headache) worked well and it held up great but it was not nearly as thick as ArmorClad (smells and I had a headache). I do not put any decorative fleck on my floors because I work on small parts, which if dropped on fleck, are as good as gone.

U Coat It is easier to clean than the Armor Clad as long as you haven't put down any of their anti slip, which are aluminum oxide grains (had to be removed with a disc grinder). ArmorClad's anti-slip is an additive and is almost invisible. ArmorClad's anti-skid recommendation is a whole baggie into the one gallon topcoat which is way overkill. I used 1/3 of the baggie and it's very non-slip.

I was rough on my U Coat It, but I will say it did scratch easier than ArmorClad, but I didn't have a topcoat on U Coat It like I do on ArmorClad. The one downside I've noticed with ArmorClad is that it takes boot scuffs easily and they're some work to get off.

The U Coat it was about 70% of the price of ArmorClad but I would guess ArmorClad is twice as thick and when applied will actually fill little imperfections.

One thing I learned during application that ArmorClad is supposed to go very thick and I had some left over so I went back over areas already done. This was a mistake because the ArmorClad sets up so fast. This left tiny little pimple like imperfections and you can see the roller strokes. (actually they're hard to see but I was looking)

ArmorClad holds up to nasty dirt, gas, cleaners etc. but it will slightly discolor with tire dressing. I use Black Magic and it has put a very slight yellowing on the ArmorClad.

Applying the ArmorClad topcoat was a little tricky because it's so slick. I used a roller and pole and it would literally slide across instead of roll until I figured out the correct body english and pole position. I recommend a good quality roller set up since I use low end HD stuff.

You have to remix the topcoat every single time you pour some for spreading if you've used the anti-skid because it will settle at the bottom. I left my mixing rod in the container the whole time and just reattached the drill before each pour, which worked great

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the topcoat does require mixing each time you pour as the wear additive is heavy and can settle, which is noted in our instructions.

As for cure times, we always recommend mixing less for small areas at the 2:1 ratio, and then to mix larger batches to coat the larger areas.

Of course we are always available for consultation and advice when installing.
