ArmorPoxy clear coat fail

I recently applied Armorpoxy Epoxy to my floors. Acid wash - Primer - Epoxy. Looked absolutely great. Waited two days and applied Armorpoxy UltraGlaze clear topcoat. Looks terrible. Would a second coat fix this? Did I roll it too thin?

The ArmorPoxy Ultra Glaze is an acrylic clear coat. It needs to be applied thin. What I see in the pics is typically what happens to acrylics when they are applied too thick. Also, most coatings require additional coats be applied within 24 hours of each other. It can vary with acrylics though. Did the instructions state you could wait that long? I recommend contacting ArmorPoxy directly. They will help you sort it out.

Armorpoxy says to sand the floor with 80-120 grit sand paper and then reapply. Will this grit mess up my floor? She said no but I feel like I’m going to be scratching the epoxy up pretty good

No, it won't mess up the floor. It's standard procedure for applying new clear coats over older coatings. The scratchy, whitish-looking surface will turn crystal clear once the new coat goes on.

You'll be fine with 120grit. You're just looking to degloss the floor not complete removal of the topcoat. Lightly sand, wipe down with denatured alcohol and recoat.

The support given was correct, a light abrasion and recoat should be fine. It's hard to tell but it does appear to be on a tad too thick. Topcoat is designed to be applied thin.

I used half of the required Topcoat. 1200 sq foot, I used one gallon.

That can happen with acrylics but that is proper recommendation/ way to fix. I’ve used their two part military grade clear and it’s an amazing product.
