Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to purchase some Armorpoxy Armorclad for my shop, and am trying to pick a color. I really like the color in their Armorclad installation video, as it appears to be more of a tan or khaki color, rather than the standard gray used on most floors. The problem is that I've reached out to ArmorPoxy to verify the color used in the video, and they are telling me they have no official record, but that it is, in fact, medium gray.

Now in the video, when they are mixing the product, it clearly appears brown and you can barely make out the words (KHAKI TAN) on the container itself. Later in the video, it shows them pouring the mixed product directly onto the concrete and rolling it. The end of the video shows the finished product- same floor- but it appears more tan, NOT gray.

I've emailed the company several times, but they are adamant this floor is medium gray. It looks nothing like the rest of the 'medium gray' floors on their website. They say it definitely is, and that the mixing video is tan, but the floor video is from a separate shoot and it's medium gray. It certainly looks like the same floor throughout the video to me.

I'm a little nervous about this as I ponder placing an order for 'medium gray,' and I'm looking for a second opinion from anyone who may have used this product. Please check out the attached screen grabs from the video and the actual video from the link below. Please let me know what you think: is this floor color gray or tan?!? Thanks!

Yes, the floor looks like a gray color and not tan. Why not just give them a call and ask if they have any color samples available to send you? Some vendors coat small pieces of hard board that they can slip into an envelope and mail out.

We agree to request physical samples which we furnish n/c. That’s really the only way to assure the correct color selection. Unfortunately our records on the video are not 100% accurate so we don’t want to have an unhappy customer!

Ok; that's a good idea- I will contact ArmorPoxy again to see if I can get an actual sample. Maybe the colors look different online, but to me the color of the floor in these pictures/video is not gray- appears brown/tan. And the product is being poured out of a container labeled (KHAKI TAN). Anybody else with any experience with these colors able to weigh in?

Yes, I have already been to this page but the colors you can get are very limited. I'm only seeing ArmorClad samples available in gray, beige, bright red, racing blue, and desert tan. Also, for me it is hard to judge the color off of a small sample. It would be very helpful if ArmorPoxy could include the names of the colors in their picture gallery, as most of your pictures are not labeled; thanks.

OK- a couple more pics attached and one more shot here to try and identify this floor color and solve the GRAY vs. TAN floor mystery. ArmorPoxy has some great photos in their gallery, however, a lot of them are not labeled and they are unable to tell you what color they are. The first 3 pics I've attached are labeled GREY on their website. The next three are actually labeled TAN. There is an obvious difference. Now, please compare all of these photos to the last pic from their video....it appears to match the TAN floors, not GREY. However, I'm being told this floor is GREY, not TAN. I'm thinking that the color of the floor in the video is actually Khaki Tan, but the company disagrees. I don't have any other images of Khaki tan other than what I suspect is in this video. I just want to be sure before I place an order. Any help, insights, or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Just trying to be helpful here, not difficult, but did you see ArmorPoxy's response above? Instead of having a color debate about pictures, why not just request a sample of each so you can see first hand how the colors look?

I can tell you first hand that colors of garage floor coatings on the internet are rarely accurate. Exposure is off, lighting is many times wrong (which affects color), and computer monitors show colors different.

Yes, I already emailed them about samples. Like I mentioned above, it is very difficult for me to picture what an entire floor will look like based on a tiny sample. I can certainly tell the difference between the grey and tan floors on their website.

I really like the color of the floor in their installation video and wanted to obtain this same color. I'm being told it is gray, but it does NOT appear gray to me at all. I suspect no one has actually taken the time to look at the pictures. I know sometimes colors change a little as they dry, but the paint coming out of the bucket in the video is dark brown, NOT gray. I was merely hoping that maybe someone with some experience with these colors could check out the pics from the video above and let me know if that brown-looking floor is maybe some variety of 'tan' or if it is, in fact, gray. No such luck on here I guess...
